Development & Partnerships Director
Trees for Cities
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
Location: Hybrid, 2 days in London office
Hours: Full Time
Closing Date: 21 May 2023 *Role Closed*
Trees for Cities is the only national charity dedicated to improve lives by planting, protecting and promoting urban trees. We do this by working closely with communities, landowners, partners and funders to deliver transformational change in towns and cities across the UK and overseas. We plant trees in schools, streets, estates, parks and open spaces to create nature-rich urban woodland, hedgerows, orchards, avenues and playgrounds.
The Development & Partnerships Director will drive further growth and future direction of the charity, maintaining awareness of the strategic and policy framework in which we operate and creatively developing programmes to meet national, regional and local objectives. By targeting our programmes towards places that are environmentally, socially and economically deprived, Trees for Cities operates at the heart of climate justice by promoting tree equity in the UK.
This is a newly shaped role that will focus on leading the development of all our programmes of work, taking an impact-led approach to delivering, scaling up and deepening our tree planting and school activities, expanding the geographies where we work to address inequalities, and measuring and communicating our impact. The role will spearhead the development and management of a wide range of new and existing partnerships and cross sector collaborations to leverage and maximise our impact.
