HOLT has grown significantly in reputation, scope and influence over recent years and we have firm foundations in place for our next stage. Our ambition is to lead the UK in building new audiences for heritage, proving that opportunity is the only barrier to engagement.

As our current Chair comes to the end of their term of office, we look forward to welcoming a new Chair, who will be joining an accomplished, engaged and collaborative Board of Trustees and staff team.

We are looking for a Chair who will bring interesting and varied experience as well as a devotion to London and an affinity with youth engagement, the arts, history and architecture. As a grassroots organisation with a deep understanding of London and social issues in deprived areas of the city, HOLT is well placed to influence public policy. The new Chair will act as a powerful public advocate for heritage and social inclusion.

The Role requires excellent strategic insight, political acumen and influencing skills to promote and guide our governance and organisational expansion, whilst engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. A commitment to diversity is important as is continuing to develop a diverse Board with a wide range of knowledge and skills. Crucially, you will be dedicated to the charity’s ambition to lead the UK in building new audiences for heritage.
