Advance Charity is an award winning charity, created and led by women, for women. We offer specialist services that support women and children impacted by Domestic Abuse and the Criminal Justice System. With over 20 years’ experience in the women’s sector, we are growing in terms of service provision and reputation. We are now one the largest providers of support services to women in England, with a focus on London and the South-East.

Evidence shows that young women and girls are more likely to experience abuse and violence than adult women or boys and men. The need for safe spaces and services that are specific to them are limited at best – Advance are committed to developing responses and services that are centred in young women and girls lived experiences and needs.

This is a newly created role to head up this specialist division, delivering services to girls and young women aged 13 to 24, as well as children aged 5+, who often experience domestic abuse, child exploitation and abuse, or are at risk of being involved in crime.

As a Senior Management Team member, the role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of services nationally to over 500 young women, girls and children referred to our services every year.  You will be responsible for managing grants and contracts whilst also working with the senior leadership team to advocate for systemic change, by amplifying young women and girls’ voices.

We are looking for an individual with excellent experience of developing and delivering services at a senior level. A thorough knowledge of issues relating to children, girls and young women experiencing violence, abuse, in the criminal justice system, or from across a wider social justice issue will be essential. In return, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment to help develop your expertise and ensure your success. If you become the Head of Young Women and Girls’ Services at Advance, you will be joining a team passionate about delivering change, bonded by shared values and who strive to advocate for those whose voices are suppressed.
