Wales has poor cancer outcomes when compared to many countries across Europe and the world. Cancer Research Wales exists to fund some of the world’s leading research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in Wales, ensuring fewer people feel the fear and heartbreak of cancer. Established in 1966, we have invested over £20m in cancer research to date.
Proud to be an independent Welsh charity serving the people of Wales, we have recently set out a bold new strategic direction with the aim of extending our reach an impact, making a step change in the number of cutting-edge cancer research project we fund in Wales. To achieve this, we need to grow our presence, engagement and income and have started laying the foundations for an important and exciting transformation within the organisation by significantly investing in our people, brand and systems.
The Legacy and Individual Giving Manager role will play a pivotal role in a team ambitious to build on our success to date whilst being driven to deliver our new strategy. Overseeing a broad fundraisingportfolio, this role will be responsible for growing sustainable income from existing regular giving, in-memoriam and legacy activities, whilst developing a brand-new donor acquisition and development programme.
