Advance Charity is an award winning charity, created and led by women, for women. We offer specialist services that support women and children impacted by Domestic Abuse and the Criminal Justice System.

With over 20 years’ experience in the women’s sector, we are growing in terms of service provision and reputation. We are now one the largest providers of support services to women in England, with a focus on London and the South-East.

Covering sabbatical leave, the Interim Head of VAWG Services will oversee our VAWG services across London and the Southeast, reaching over 5000 women and children referred to our services annually. The role is responsible for leading a team of four direct reports, with a wider team of 40+ staff, and grants and contracts of over £2.5m. As Interim Head of VAWG Services, you will be joining a driven and collaborative team passionate about delivering change and bonded by shared values.

We are looking for an interim with excellent experience of leadership and staff development coupled with strong service delivery experience - it is likely you will have already worked at a ‘Head of’ level previously. You will have knowledge of issues relating to women experiencing violence and abuse or the criminal justice system and whilst we would welcome individuals with direct experience of providing women or children’s services, your service delivery experience may have been developed across a wide range of relevant social justice sectors.
