Advance Charity is an award winning charity, created and led by women, for women. We offer specialist services that support women and children impacted by Domestic Abuse and the Criminal Justice System.

With over 20 years’ experience in the women’s sector, we are growing in terms of service provision and reputation. We are now one the largest providers of support services to women in England, with a focus on London and the South-East.

Covering maternity leave, the Interim Director of Services will oversee all our front line services across London and the Southeast, reaching over 8000 women and children referred to our services annually. The role is responsible for leading a senior team of six direct reports, with a wider team of 100+ staff, and grants and contracts of over £6m. As Interim Director of Services, you will be joining a driven and collaborative team passionate about delivering change and bonded by shared values. A team who strives to advocate for those whose voices are suppressed.

We are looking for a leader with considerable experience of developing, implementing and delivering multiple services, ideally across different geographical regions – it is likely that you already have experience of working in a senior leadership role. You will bring a strong collaborative and coaching leadership approach coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support staff in the delivery of high quality services, whilst also building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders including statutory partners and other funders. Whilst we would welcome individuals with experience of providing women’s services, your experience may have been developed across a wide range of relevant social justice sectors.
